The 2020 PLASA Show has been cancelled due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, with new dates set for its return in 2021.
Scheduled to take place at Olympia London from September 6-8, this year’s PLASA Show will no longer be going ahead. However, the show will return to the London venue in 2021, running from September 5-7. It is the latest in a long line of trade events, including InfoComm and IBC, to be impacted by the pandemic.
PLASA’s head of events, Sophie Atkinson, commented: “It is of course very disappointing to have to postpone PLASA Show this year which would have been the first in Olympia’s Grand Hall. But I am in no doubt that it is the right thing to do for the industry at this challenging time. We will sorely miss PLASA Show this year and look forward to being able to meet you in London from September 5-7 2021.”
PLASA recently launched a campaign under the name #WeMakeEvents aimed at highlighting the industry’s urgent need for government support. You can find out more at www.plasa.org/we-make-events
PLASA managing director, Peter Heath, said: “We are all hugely aware of how the events industry is suffering, and as it stands there is no end in sight. PLASA is focussing all its efforts into supporting the industry and we invite you to join the cause so we can all enjoy concerts, theatre shows and festivals long into the future.”
