Capture this! Join Phoenix-based photographer Andrew Pielage for a deep dive into the world of architectural photography in this intermediate-level workshop. Over the course of the weekend, you will learn how to accommodate changing light in the desert, how to properly scout a location, and how to shoot architecture with any lens! The workshop will also include an introduction to the powerful editing software of Adobe Lightroom Classic as well as Adobe’s new updated editing tools. Included are two photo critique sessions, an audio tour of Taliesin West, and breakfast and lunch over the weekend, along with opportunities for both sunrise and sunset photography at Taliesin West.

THE DETAILS

Friday 4:30 – 7:30 pm
• Anytime between 11:20 am and 2:30 pm workshop participants can take a Highlights Audio Tour of Taliesin West. Tour is included in the workshop ticket.
• Meet and greet with Andrew Pielage + time for sunset photography (exterior of Taliesin West only)

Saturday: 6:00 am – 7:30 pm
• Sunrise photography (interior and exterior of Taliesin West)
• Full day of photo editing lessons and image critique
• Sunset photos after dinner (interior and exterior of Taliesin West)
• Breakfast, lunch, and light snacks will be provided. Offsite dinner is not included in the ticket cost and will be the responsibility of the participants.

 


Sunday: 6:00 am – 12:30 pm

• Final lessons and image critique (interior and exterior of Taliesin West)

      • Access to spaces at Taliesin West not normally seen on tour.

      • Communications regarding what to expect, what to bring, introductions, dietary preferences, and more before the workshop.
    • What’s Not Included
      • Housing and travel accommodations. All registrants must arrange their own travel, daily transportation, and sleeping accommodations for the weekend.
      • Dinner will not be provided.
      • Cameras or editing equipment. All registrants must provide a digital camera capable of full manual exposure and a laptop computer with Adobe Lightroom Classic already loaded.
      • Access to the Taliesin West campus outside of workshop hours and outside of workshop spaces.

 

MORE ABOUT ANDREW PIELAGE 
Andrew Pielage is an internationally published architectural and travel photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona. Pielage is on a mission to photograph all of Frank Lloyd Wright’s remaining designs. He has recently photographed 114 Wright designs. He offers photography workshops year-round, is supported by Canon USA, and is an Adobe Contributor.

With over 20 years of experience, including international ad campaigns and publications, television features, exhibitions, and workshops, Pielage continues to do what he loves: capture the soul of his subjects and inspire imagination through photography and education.
