Friday Night Films

March 24, 2023

Friday, March 24 from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Watch films in style at Taliesin West. Our Friday Night Films provide a new way to enjoy the silver screen just as the Wrights did. Each month, we will screen a cinematic classic that had been watched by the Wrights and the Fellowship. Stay after for an exciting conversation about the film, its history, and how it might connect to Wright and his work.

Our feature is Roman Holiday (1953). Overwhelmed by her suffocating schedule, touring European princess Ann (Audrey Hepburn) takes off for a night while in Rome. When a sedative she took from her doctor kicks in, however, she falls asleep on a park bench and is found by an American reporter, Joe Bradley (Gregory Peck), who takes her back to his apartment for safety. At work the next morning, Joe finds out Ann’s regal identity and bets his editor he can get an exclusive interview with her, but romance soon gets in the way.
Q&A with Prof. Katie Morrissey to follow.
