AZ Heritage Center Opens Footprints on the Desert: Frank Lloyd Wright in Arizona

The AZ Heritage Center, in cooperation with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, and in partnership with the Scottsdale Public Library and Tempe History Museum, is pleased to announce the opening of “Footprints on the Desert: Frank Lloyd Wright in Arizona,” an exhibit celebrating Frank Lloyd Wright’s life and work in Arizona, and his legacy throughout the state.
Featuring an array of photographs, architectural drawings, original furniture, and design artifacts from Taliesin West and other Wright-designed buildings in Arizona, Footprints on the Desert travels through Wright’s journey and design impact on the state.
“Frank Lloyd Wright made a profound impact on the history of Arizona that continues to define how we build and live in the desert Southwest today,” said Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation President & CEO Stuart Graff. “We are excited to partner with the AZ Heritage Center to tell this story.”
The exhibit is open to the public at the AZ Heritage Center through March 31, 2018. Following its close at the AZ Heritage Center, the exhibit will be on display at the Tempe History Museum from May – August 2018, and the Scottsdale Civic Center Library from September – December 2018.

Throughout the duration of the exhibit, the AZ Heritage Center will feature a series of speakers related to the life and work of Frank Lloyd Wright.

The exhibition is currently at the Scottsdale Civic Center Library, located at 3839 N. Drinkwater Boulevard, Scottsdale, AZ 85251.
